From the Mudras series. 

Where historically mudras are used in Hindu, Jain and Buddhist art as symbolic or ritualistic gestures, my mudras spring from a more ironic and secular point of view.



The challenge for me is to always be succinct and not overwhelm the viewer with visual clutter, but to give your eyes and mind room to contemplate the gesture.
